Dreaming Cows
July-December 2009
Artist Betty LaDuke has traveled around the world creating vibrant art inspired by the work of Heifer International, a charitable organization providing needy families in developing countries with livestock in order to effect sustainable improvements in the standard of living. This exciting exhibit will include LaDuke's art, along with fun hands-on games and activities planned especially for children and families.

Sculpture by Thaddeus Erdahl
July-August 2009
Works by nationally recognized clay sculptor Thaddeus Erdahl will be presented in a new installation. Erdahl's works tend toward the figurative and the surreal, with compelling and sometimes disturbing doses of irony and social commentary.

Voices to Vision
September-November 2009
This exhibit documents the experiences of holocaust and genocide survivors through a collaborative art project. Working under the direction of David Feinberg, artists collected stories from survivors and then translated their "voices and visions" into mixed media works of art. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the University of Northern Iowa Holocaust and Genocide Education Program.

Mystical Imagination:
The Art of Haitian Master Hector Hyppolite
September-November 2009
The work of this enigmatic master Haitian painter and mystic is showcased in a major retrospective exhibition. Works from private and museum collections from the U.S., Haiti and Canada will be included.
