| MAX ALLAN COLLINS Film Expo ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The 2007 Max Allan Collins film Expo is currently scheduled for September 21-22, 2007 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts in Waterloo, Iowa. An opening red carpet reception and screening of a new short noir film entitled An Inconsequential Matter by Max Allan Collins, will be held on September 21, with additional screenings of accepted films on September 22. Max Allan Collins ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Max Allan Collins works as a mystery novelist, comics scripter and independent filmmaker in his native Iowa. Collins wrote the graphic novel Road to Perdition from which was adapted the Academy Award-winning Tom Hanks film. He wrote, directed and executive-produced Mommy, a Lifetime TV movie of the week, and performed the same duties for a sequel, Mommy's Day. He also wrote The Expert, an HBO World Premiere film, and wrote and directed the films Real Time: Siege at Lucas Street Market, Caveman: V.T. Hamlin & Alley Oop and Shades of Noir. Filming was completed earlier this year in Lousiana on The Last Lullaby, from a Collins screenplay adapted from his novel The Last Quarry. He is one of the publishing industry's leading authors of movie and TV tie-in novels, writing the international bestsellers In the Line of Fire, Maverick, Waterworld, Daylight, Air Force One, and Saving Private Ryan.
