Wheel Throwing
Spend a couple of hours a week playing with clay!
Our instructors will teach you the basics and provide
tips on how to advance your craft.
Ten pottery wheels are available or you may
want to focus on slab work.
Session I: February 1–March 8 (6 weeks)

Rock Weaving
Spend an afternoon wrapping rocks with reeds
and sticks. Finished rocks will make perfect
accent pieces in your home. Participants are
encouraged to bring palm-sized rocks that hold
special significance or meaning.

Still Life Painting in Acrylic
Great for any skill level, this class will guide you
through creating a simple still life painting.
A supply list will be provided.

Stained Glass
Learn techniques including design, glass cutting,
soldering, and framing for making a copper-foiled or
lead stained glass panel. After six weeks you will have
a beautiful completed stained glass piece.

Batik: Bugs, Butterflies, & Birds
Use dye and wax to create a colorful bug, bird or
butterfly on cotton fabric. All materials are provided
but participants should bring a picture of the animal
that they would wish to fabricate.

Circular Baskets
Develop your weaving skills with a circular basket
that measures 10-12 inches across. Flat and rounded
reeds will be used to create this beautiful basket over
the course of a day, please make sure bring
yourself a sack lunch.

Fused Glass Projects
Create your very own colorful fused glass pieces.
All projects are precut; participants will assemble and
glue together their pieces. Pieces will be fused and
ready for pickup a week after the class date.

Lamp Work: Glass Beads
Learn to use heat, gravity and simple
tools to shape vibrant molten glass. Bring a
lunch and be prepared to be amazed by your

This beginning sewing class will focus
on your machine, basic stitches and how to

Glaze a Giant Snail Planter
Spend an evening glazing a large ceramic
snail planter. Over twelve inches long, this
slug will be the perfect spot for a pansy or geranium.
