April 29 | 7pm
Isaiah Patton | Cedar Falls, IA | pattontattoos.com
Patton, UNI alumnus and owner of Honey and Vinegar Ltd Co., will present A Seed of Empathy. In referencing the work, the artist writes, “Cut and sewn from the same universal lashing of experience. My love bares all. The love of my career, my mother, and my sister. This journey you embark on is one of honest experience, intertwined with your perspective. My past that is so far and so close. I am a seed of my mother, a seed of my family’s tree. A pain not yet bred out of us. A pain so central and far. Perhaps freedom this time, perhaps this time.”

Vertigo is organized by the Waterloo Center for the Arts and the UNI Department of Art.

Support comes from The Fairy Godfather Fund, Friends of the Art Center and Stella’s Guesthouse.
