Become a Phelps Youth Pavilion-trained volunteer who conducts tours of the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ permanent collections and featured exhibitions for children and/or adults.
Gain experience working with children and families in the Phelps Youth Pavilion. You will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of daily operations as you interact with our patrons by answering questions, providing general information, and participating in or leading special activities.
Assist teachers in the art classrooms by helping to prepare and distribute materials, set up, and clean up.
Help with set up/decorating, greeting and orienting party guests, activities, and clean up for birthday parties at the Phelps Youth Pavilion.
Story Time Reader
Read to small or large groups of kids in the Phelps Youth Pavilion Book Nook. Props, puppets, and art activities are available.
Have fun being the Phelps Youth Pavilion’s mascot “Art” at birthday parties and events. A staff member will assist you.
Donate your time and talent to mend and make costumes, puppets, props, and textiles for the Phelps Youth Pavilion.
Gift Store Assistant
Assist patrons with gift store purchases and questions. Help clean, tag, organize, and display inventory.
