Waterloo Center for the Arts

Culture creates vibrancy for us individually & collectively. Join us for our many inclusive events for all.

Music & Culture

The Waterloo Center for the Arts is dedicated to fostering inclusivity, supporting and building a healthy and diverse cultural economy and nurturing a vibrant creative environment through the arts. With passion and a strong affinity for global dialogue, the WCA cultivates a reputation as a viable cultural destination by offering free cultural festivals throughout the year. These free community programs have been thoughtfully constructed to enhance the local cultural ecosystem and provide opportunities for the public to delve into the vibrant and diverse community of Waterloo.

RiverLoop Rhythms

Additionally, the Waterloo Center for the Arts hosts a fun live summer music series, RiverLoop Rhythms, that is free to the community on select Fridays at 5:30PM – 9:30PM from May – August at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre. This series sees a mixture of musical genres of seasoned artists as well as new budding musicians never before featured at the Amphitheatre. Each RiverLoop Rhythms event will also feature and handful of Cedar Valley visual artists offering original works for visitors to experience and purchase. Children and Families are most welcome with a bounce house and various other activities available for young ones attending the performances. Each activity will be curated by our very own Phelps Youth Pavilion staff. We also encourage families to take advantage of the Mark’s Park Splash Pad located adjacent to the Amphitheatre which is available and free to the public during the summer months.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the RiverLoop Amphitheatre bar and other featured businesses for each scheduled performance.
