Your Contribution to the Arts Makes it Happen!

Thanks to you,

Thanks to you, the Waterloo Center for the Arts serves as a remarkable community resource. In addition to the Center’s free galleries and significant permanent art collection, including the world’s largest public collection of Haitian artwork, we offer quality arts programs for all ages. WCA is a community space where everyone is invited to experience the arts through classes, changing exhibitions, outstanding facility rentals, performances, public art projects, school trips, scholarships and volunteer opportunities. At some point almost every child in the Cedar Valley visits the Phelps Youth Pavilion at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, which proudly provides unique interactive hands-on cultural experiences for young people and families. Outside the walls of the Center, we provide educational outreach programs, are committed to building strong community partnerships, and offer free outdoor concerts, festivals and events at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre, Mark’s Park and Expo Plaza.

And things keep getting better at the Waterloo Center for the Arts! We recently completed work on Phases I & II of a three-phase project to replace and expand our parking lot and create a beautiful new entry plaza, making our facility more visible and accessible. New amenities include enhanced lighting and the Phelps Melody Park. This unique interactive musical play area brings a taste of the fun, excitement and experiential learning opportunities which we offer inside the Phelps Youth Pavilion outside our walls where they are accessible to children and families at any time. Additional improvements to the building’s façade and upgrades to HVAC systems will be coming soon.

All of this is only possible due to the generous support of friends like you. Please consider including the Waterloo Center for the Arts in your year-end giving. Your contribution represents an investment in our community ensuring that arts and culture will continue to make an impact for years to come. Your support helps make art happen in the Cedar Valley!
