Waterloo, IA – The Haitian Arts Digital Crossroads is celebrating it’s launch of its online portal after 6 years of collaborative work between Grinnell College and the Waterloo Center for the Arts! Join in the celebration November 20 at 5:00pm for a reception followed by a keynote address from curator Yvena Despange.
Haitian Art: A Digital Crossroads (HADC) is a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Humanities Collections and Reference Resources (HCRR) grant project by Grinnell College Libraries and the Waterloo Center for the Arts (WCA), led by Assistant Professor of Art History Fredo Rivera and Assistant Professor / Cultural & Community-based Digital Curator Petrouchka Moïse working with the Waterloo Center for the Art’s Haitian art collection and other collaborating partners to assist in the digitizing and cataloging of their collection.
